Why Nepal can still be the popular Tourism Destination after the devasting earthquake??

The devasting earthquake that shook Nepal on April 25th. Lots of people lost their lives and this also destroyed some of the Cultural heritage sites of Nepal. Many tourists were affected by the earthquake and some of them lost their lives too. The lives of the people were directly affected by the quake. This also had the negative impact on the Tourism sector of Nepal which is one of the major factor contributing in the economy of Nepal.

The popular tourism destinations now days are filled with countable amount of tourists. Lots of the hotels, resorts are suffering because of lack of tourists. Many peoples employment has been threatened. The natural disaster is having a great adverse effect on tourism of Nepal. Here are some points which will convince you that Nepal is still a safer place to travel:

1. Out of 75 districts of Nepal, only 8 of them  are affected by this earthquake.
2. Out of 10 National Parks in Nepal, only 1 is affected.
3. All the highways and sub-ways are in operation with zero damage.
4. Out of 8 UNESCO World Heritage Sites, only 2 have around 40% damages
5. 90% hotels in Kathmandu Valley are safe and in operational conditions. 100% Hotels in popular destinations like Pokhara, Chitwan, Lumbini, Bardiya, Ilam, Annapurna Region, Everest Region etc. are safe and in full operation.
6. Out of 35 popular trekking routes, only 2 are affected
7. All the International and National airports are in operation with zero damage.
8. Communication - nets, phone calls, ATM's, swipe machines) is working well.
9. Hospitals and Clinics are safe and in operation. No viral diseases or influenza has been seen till date.

Nepalese  are globally known as the most hospitable people and are ready to welcome the Guests. As, culturally "Guests are God” In Nepal

One of the tv reported posted this tweet on this twitter account about the hospitality and generosity of Nepalese people where one of the woman who lost everything in the earthquake offers him to take  food with her.

Experience the smiles even in sorrows of Nepalese people.

The international coverage of Nepalese earthquake was made like the whole Nepal was destroyed. Images of collapsed building and cultural heritages of Kathmandu made the cover story and those media failed to report that 80 percent of buildings were intact and the International Airport was open.

If the international community want to help Nepal?? they could come to Nepal go to treking use homestays and create jobs. A strong message that " Nepal was shook by the earthquake but not destroyed should be sent to the international community.

Apart from it, Nepalese government should also carry out promotion campaigns all over the world. This quake was a wake up call for every Nepali residents and to the government. Nepal has gained some limelight in international arena, it should benefit itself from publicity.

Tourism is the back bone of Nepalese economy. Places like Pokhara, Thamel are deserted where these places were always occupied.
